Consumer Cancellation
1. Who these rights apply to
This page explains statutory cancellation rights for eligible consumers buying services at a distance. A consumer is an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Genuine business purchases may not have these cooling-off rights. Our appointment policy still applies, and mandatory rights take priority wherever they apply.
2. The 14-day cancellation period
For an eligible distance service contract, you can normally cancel without giving a reason within 14 days after the day the contract is entered into. A personalised Zoom session is a service; it is not automatically exempt as bespoke goods or downloadable digital content. Failure to provide the required cancellation information can extend the period as the law provides.
3. Asking us to start early
If you want an eligible consumer service to begin before the cancellation period ends, we must obtain your separate express request before starting. Accepting the general terms is not that request. You keep your cancellation right until full performance, unless the legal conditions for ending it are met: you expressly requested early performance and acknowledged that full performance would end the right. Without that request, we must wait until the cancellation period ends. This includes any promised follow-up work that forms part of the service.
4. Cancelling after an early start
If you cancel after properly requesting an early start, a lawful charge may cover only the proportion of the agreed service already supplied. We explain any such charge. You do not bear that cost where the law excludes it, including where the required information or express request was missing. Starting a call does not itself remove every cancellation right.
5. How to cancel
Tell us clearly that you wish to cancel. Email contact@consultmarke.com or send a written notice to Office 17441, 182-184 High Street North, East Ham, London E6 2JA, UK. Include enough information to identify your purchase. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to. Sending your notice before the statutory cancellation deadline is sufficient. For help, call +44 7400 753316.
6. Reimbursement
For a valid statutory cancellation, we reimburse without undue delay and within 14 days of being informed, less only any proportionate charge permitted by law. We use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise without incurring fees. We do not automatically deduct payment-provider processing fees from a statutory refund. Your bank may take time to display a refund after we issue it.
7. Appointment policy and service problems
Our 24-hour cancellation and rescheduling policy and 5-day delivery guarantee are additional commercial policies, not deadlines for statutory claims. Late cancellations and missed calls are normally dealt with by rescheduling, subject to availability and circumstances. Services must be supplied with reasonable care and skill; repeat performance or a price reduction may be available under consumer law. See our Refund Policy for the request process.
